Although it may not be fair

To include this section as a difference between UA and GA4, since the legislation regarding data processing is somewhat more recent, we could not fail to mention the fact that Google Analytics 4 has introduc  with the GDPR: Consent Mode.

The reason we mention this is because

Consent Mode affects the data we can collect from users. It introduces two ways of implementing consent (Basic Mode and Advanc Mode) that affect the quality of the data. Could we not implement it? Yes, if we are not interest in relying on sociodemographic information to carry out remarketing and display campaigns and Google Ads, or if we can afford moj database to have our data not be as true to life, which is not usually the case unless you have no monetary objective.

Custom Dimensions and Metrics

Previously, with Universal Analytics you could create custom dimensions and metrics to measure specific data that wasn’t available by default. It also supports “custom dimensions and metrics”, but from the same parameters and in relation to the defin events, for which it is essential to take into account that there are certain limits in the social media marketing Google Analytics 4 Properties.
Now let’s cover a couple of points regarding changes to the Google Analytics interface.

Account architecture

With Universal Analytics, organizations could decide whether to have multiple accounts. Each account was organiz into different properties (websites, applications, devices) and for each property we could have different views from which we could usa data access specializ reports and consult specific data relat to our work activity, as if it were a filter. With UA you could have permissions at the view, property or account level, that is, from less to more information.
